Prestige Carpentry & Construction is a local company based in Sherborne. We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding build quality and exceptional customer service.

The company was set up by Craig Osment in 2017 and he has been working tirelessly to achieve a good solid reputation for good quality work. Craig comes from a carpentry background and is fully qualified to the highest level City & Guilds level 3. Having started as a labourer back when he was he 16 and then progressing to serve a full term apprenticeship he qualified with distinctions from college and also represented Taunton college at the national skill build awards, he now has over 24 yrs experience in the building trade.

The beautiful new extension and reconfiguration of the kitchen and downstairs rooms has transformed our house into a fully functional comfortable stylish home. Craig kept a tight rein over his team at all times ensuring that all work was sequenced with full consideration for our families wellbeing. As well as being the tidiest builder that we have ever met, Craig’s meticulous approach was apparent in all Prestige’s work.

He demonstrated the ability to follow the detailed build plans produced by our architect. He kept us informed throughout and was transparent and clear over costs that allowed us to make choices and keep a high specification build within an acceptable budget.

Craig clearly took pride in his work and the standard of craftsmanship is apparent. We would fully recommend Craig and Prestige to anyone seeking a quality builder.

Prestige Carpentry and Construction worked for us over a seven month period project-managing and carrying out the total refurbishment and extension of a tired 1920s house in the centre of Sherborne. The standard of work and materials used was excellent, the project ran smoothly and on time and the coordination between the architect, building control, the building team and ourselves as clients was exemplary. Communication was very good and issues were identified and solutions agreed in a timely way. The finished house is superb and we recommend Prestige most strongly. The project covered demolition of a chimney, the removal of internal and external walls, the construction of an orangery, extensions at ground floor and first floor levels, a loft conversion, a new staircase, new electrics, plumbing and heating, new kitchen and bathrooms, a new fireplace and wood burner, external groundworks and complete replastering/rendering inside and out.
